A RF shielded room is a metal volume (6 faces) that is shielded from electromagnetic radiation in a particular frequency band.
The objective, in general, is to isolate oneself from electromagnetic disturbances to allow the protection of a device or to create an environment conducive to RF or microwave measurements.
These materials (for indoor use) are used in many sectors: research, industry, aeronautics & space, telecommunications, defence, etc.
The applications are multiple and include:
– Civilian and military COS (EN, CISPR, DO, MIL STD, ISO, etc.)
– Data protection (defence, bank, secure meeting room, IT room, etc.)
– Antenna measurements (base station, radar, mobile phone, etc.)
– Isolation to RF disturbances,
– ElectroNuclear Magnetic Pulse,
– Electronic tests in production, etc.
